WEEKLY COMEBACK GUIDE (12th March- 18th March)

Everything you need to know about your favourite K-Artists and K-pop groups’ comeback. Without further ado, let’s dive in, shall we 🙂

1. 8ight’s BAEKCHAN – ‘BAEKCHAN 01’

When you are a musical prodigy under BigHit Label (BigHit Entertainment and Source Music) you create the genius of an album, no questions asked.

One-third of the musical trifecta BAEKCHAN has shared his first full album this month. The trio (BaekChan, Lee Hyun and Joo Hee) also reunited to release their first single earlier in the year, six years post their disbandment. It features the title track “About time” as the lead single.

2. UNVS – ‘Solar Eclipse’

Daebak Comeback!

Raw and real, this dreamlike comeback song deals with the intense heartbreak one goes through immediately after having faced a breakup. Impressive choreography and dreamlike visuals make the MV captivating. Though, surprisingly, this is not their title track at all! Shocking, right?

3. Apink – ‘Look’

It’s the 9-year anniversary celebration after all!

This hexad is celebrating their nine-year anniversary in style. They have released their new EP ‘Look’ this spring month of April. A-grade visuals, pastel colors, foot-tapping music and stunning visuals – the group’s lead single Dumhdurum is a bop! It’s written by famous K-Pop producer duo Black Eyed Pilseung, responsible for their previous hit singles. It is about accepting heartbreak with style, Apink style!

4. Girlkind – ‘Future’

It is not only ‘one-of-a-kind’ but Girlkind!

This quintet may have debuted as recently as 2018 but they are here to stay! Their third digital single ‘Future’ marks their comeback in the K-pop scene. With a ‘robot futuristic theme’ stylized with bright sparkles colored M/V, it is set to be a digital hit!

5. CRAVITY – REMEMBER WHO WE ARE

‘Cravi’n for some brand new music? Cravity, here to your rescue!

There is something inexplicable about the charm of boy-bands! Heartthrob like visuals, unique style and music fresh off the boat; CRAVITY is here for the kill! A portmanteau of ‘Creative’ and ‘Gravity’ they aim to attract you to their universe with their captivating charisma. Their lead single ‘Break all the Rules’ is a winner. Handsome men, superior M/V and synchronized moves bring it on!

6. Loopy’- ‘NO FEAR’

‘Loopy-ing’ your head to badass rap!

It is not just K-Pop that everyone is getting hooked on to, but K-HipHop is grabbing everyone’s attention too. One such K-HipHop artist is Korean-American rapper: Loopy! With a lucid rap flow and a deadly fire-ice M/V, Loopy is set to get us all groovy to his rap.

7. LOONA – Jinsoul ‘As Time Goes’ / Drama “Meow the secret boy” OST Part 8

JinSoul for the soul

LOONA’s soul, the very talented JinSoul has lent her exemplary vocals to the Romantic-Comedy drama “Welcome” also known as “Meow the secret boy”. The song titled ‘As time goes’ is about missing your beloved and recollecting your moments of love and togetherness. Her textured vocals and stunning instrumental background serve as a personal cure for the lockdown.

8. MONSTA X -‘FOLLOW’

MONSTA X! Enough said.

Does one even need any other reason, the name is enough. Everyone’s favourite hexad k-boyband is back and how! The group has released their 7th Japanese single ‘Wish on the same sky’. The single is said to feature the Japanese version of ‘Follow’. With an angelic concept, comforting vocals and cool rap – this hits us right in the feels.

9. SF9 – Good Guy

SexyFine9 aka SF9

Suave and suited, teenage heartthrobs SF9 look breathtaking in their latest Japanese single ‘Good Guy’. The M/V has black and white contrasting effects, with an easy rap and a sophisticated air. This comeback is stuff dreams are made of.

10. Jang Deok Cheol – ‘You’

The ‘Good old days’ only for ‘You’

This chartbuster pop-ballad trio of Jang, Deok and Cheol are back with a lovely single ‘You’. The M/V is shot like a typical K-drama with a man; working at a café is making earnest efforts to win the affection of his colleague. He is heartbroken when he learns of her relationship with another man, but sticks by her side as a true friend, even helping her nurse her broken heart. A simple song exploring the twin concepts of ‘love’ and ‘friendship’, it is a must-try.
